Pink flannel flowers (2021)
This artwork is a meditation on the rare pink flannel flower that makes its home under the rugged sandstone escarpment of the Blue Mountains. These little feathery gems are a once in a lifetime flower; their dormant seeds need very precise conditions to come to life. For a brief moment all up and down the mountains these blooms covered the areas hardest hit by the 2019/20 fires. Softness rising.
